Event Description
Any youth 9-18 may participate! 4-H members will receive 2 hams. They will learn how to cure the hams during an 8 month process. They will get to keep 1 ham and 1 ham will be auctioned off to help support the program. After hams are cured, youth are required to give a presentation on a specific topic related to country hams Youth will give a 3-5 minute speech at the KY State Fair on August 21, 2025. the cost to participate is FREE, if all requirements are met. (Youth who do not complete the contract, the cost is $70) Deadline to register is December 6!
